DIY Room decor

Being motivated and having lots of positive energy in every day life is kind of difficult, but to stay positive is really very important for our own happiness. So lets create something which keeps us motivated and fill in with lots of positive energy.

I have created this decor as per my dreams. You can customize it as per your dreams and likings.

For creating this Room decor, first we will have to make 3 canvas paintings. I am painting my canvas based on my life & dreams. All 3 paintings are super easy to make and will give you lots of positive energy throughout the day. 

So lets get started!!

1. I PAINT my DREAMS

Cut a heart shape on a self adhesive paper and them stick it in the centre of your canvas and paint your canvas using various colours and some random lines.. no rules ;) 

After the paint had dried remove the heart sticker and give this heart shape a nice border to highlight it.

Finally write a quote inside the heart design to which you completely stand by and you are done with your first painting :)

Super easy!!

2. CINDERELLA 

This one is Easier than the previous one!!

Take a print out of a Cinderella silhouette and stick it on bottom left side of the canvas using a glue stick, because we don't want to stick this silhouette permanently ;)

After this spray paint on the canvas and when the spray paint is almost dry carefully remove the silhouette.

Finally write a quote and you are done with this one as well.

3. Travel

Travelling to different places is everyone's dream!! So why not make something, which will remind & motivate us to take a break and travel to different places..

Here I have given an ombre background to my canvas and then wrote some of my dream destinations on small pieces of cardboard and placed them on a long piece of a cardboard and then stick them to the canvas like so..

Finally write a quote & Happy travelling!! :)

Lastly I joined all these 3 paintings using some felt in between and tadaaa... A Motivational room decor piece is ready to keep you positive through out the day.

DIY Minion Tote bag

BE THE ONE IN MINION!!

Tote bags are always the best thing to have while travelling, shopping, picnics etc... 

So, why to have an ordinary Tote bag where you can easily DIY one :)

Stone painting

Paint, Brushes and paper/canvas are enough for me to disappear into my world of happiness!!

I love to do and learn various types of art and crafts, hence this time I tried some stone painting.
In this video, I am sharing 5 different styles of painting stones/rocks and they turned out pretty cool.

These painted stones can be used in many different ways like as a beautiful home decor, as a personalized gift for someone special, could be placed in different plants/herbs by mentioning that specific plant/herb name on stones, etc... options are endless :)

Different styles of painting stones:

Using Acrylic colours: I have painted a stone in Minion style by using acrylic colour and brushes, you can paint anything you wish using acrylic colors.

Using Sharpie permanent markers: Using just sharpie permanent markers I have painted cherry fruit on stone. Sharpie permanent markers works best on white or light shaded stone.

Using Acrylic colours and sponge: In this technique, I have given some texture to my stone using acrylic colour and sponge and then adding some text to it give it a personalized touch.

Using Puffy paints: Here, without any planned design or pattern. I gave a base colour to my stone using acrylic colour and then  picked up some puffy paints and started making any pattern which came into my mind at that time. This one turned out pretty cool.

Using Glitter: Finally!! using glitter powder and mod-podge I have given a very shiny effect to one stone.. after all how can any home decor item could finish without having something sparkly in it.

So, paint your imagination on a natural canvas this time and have fun :)

DIY: Photo wind chime

This DIY is not only a home decor idea but, it will also give you 

some additional moments in your daily life to SMILE :)

Hope you are having an amazing day!!

I love to display photographs in my house, This way I stay happy and feel positive whenever I see them.

This time I decided to display some of my photographs in some different style!!

And here comes creativity and imagination ;) Whenever I want to get new ideas for DIY's the only thing which works perfectly for me, is my working desk and hence I wanted to make something through which I can display my photographs somewhere around my desk.. So, A photo wind chime was the best way to do this :)

For This DIY, I have used a miniature wooden bird house which I got from Michaels craft store and painted it super colourful.

Then I got my photographs ready and hanged them under the painted bird house using twine and coffee stirrers.

I am so happy the way this Photo wind chime turned out!!
It really makes me so happy and motivated towards life whenever I see it :)

Rainbow photo frame

This DIY video is full of cuteness, colours, rainbow, butterflies and lots of fun!!

Hey Guys, 
Welcome to AnkiNish creations, where we try to bring smile through creativity in everyone's life :)

This video is about painting a plain wooden photo frame. I wanted my photo frame to look very colourful and lively..

I got this plain wooden photo frame for this project from Michaels craft store. Using matte finish acrylic paints I have painted the front portion of the frame in rainbow theme by only replacing the Indigo colour with the pink one.

Using a butterfly craft punch and glitter pink card stock paper I have punched few butterflies to stick them around the rainbow but you can use any shape craft punch you have.




Now, only think left to do is placing a photograph in the frame and you are done.

Puffy paint Jar

Have you ever used puffy paints!!
No: You should definitely try it.
Yes: I am sure you must have had so much fun using them.

Hello Guys,
This DIY is very different but yet very easy and cute.. here I have used a very simple technique to draw Mickey and Minnie on my Jar.

Take a print out of any design in your desired size which fits your jar and then tape that design inside the jar. Next and last step is to paint your design with puffy paints on the jar using the printout guidelines inside the jar.

That's it!!

Your own puffy painted jar is ready.

Sunset landscape painting on a canvas tote bag!!

Ever since I started doing paintings my most favourite and loved painting style was freehand landscape painting. This video is the combination of DIY and landscape painting, where I am sharing my most favourite and easy sunset landscape painting on a plain canvas tote 
bag.

Tote bags are always loved by everyone, It is a great friend and supporter for all kind of shopping and extra baggage while travelling, but it itself don't take any space ;) So, lets make a unique classic and easy sunset painting on a plain canvas tote bag.

DIY Gift Ideas

Just a little effort in gifts can make your loved feel extremely special!!

Hey Guys,

In this video I am sharing two easy DIY gift ideas which are suitable for any occasion.

First DIY is dry flower bouquet: Next time when you will have fall season don't forget to collect dry flowers from woods and then paint them in your favourite colours and in no time you will have a cute dry flower bouquet perfect for both as a gift and home decor.

Second DIY is Chocolate jar: Take any plain glass jar to decorate it, here I have used fevicryl 3d outliner for drawing hearts on the lower part of the jar and spray glued inside the lid of jar and then immediately sprinkled glitter in it. you can decorate your jar in any way you like, options are endless in the field of Art & craft. The last remaining is to place chocolates inside the jar.

DIY: Travel tote bag

It's always good to keep an extra tote bag, whenever you travel... because we never know how much shopping we will end up doing ;)

Hey loves,
In this post, I am sharing my newest Travel tote bag.. which you can actually DIY yourself.

So, Let's get started..

Materials required:

1. Plain tote bag
2. Acrylic colours'
3. Card stock paper
4. Water
5. Colour palette
6. Brushes
7. sponge
8. Pencil

Step 1: Place a Card stock paper or plastic bag inside the bag to protect the other side of the bag.

Step 2: Dip the sponge in water and apply it on the bag to make the bag slightly wet. This will help us in creating perfect shading for the background.

Step 3: Take some light blue colour in the brush and dip the same brush little bit in water and start painting on the bag. You can increase/decrease the intake of water in this process depending on how opaque/ transparent you want your background on the bag. Cover the whole front portion of the bag and keep it aside for drying completely for the next step.

Step 4: When the bag has dried completely.  Draw all travel essentials on a travel tote bag using a pencil.. to make it more easy you can even refer images from Google like I did for an aeroplane.

Step 5: It's the most fun part.. Colouring all the masterpieces you have drawn your bag.. So go ahead and be colourful.

DIY: Minions Shoes

YOU are 1 in the MINIONS!!!

If you believe in yourself and have confidence in your Art and Talent, then you are truly ONE in MILLIONS.

This time I am sharing my most favourite creation with you all, and that is Minions shoe. If you love Minions then get ready for Minions magic!!

Lets get started,

Materials required:
1 White canvas shoes
2 Acrylic colours and paint brushes
3 Masking tape
4 Fabric glue
5 Scissor
6 Colour palette
7 Self sticky paper
8 Googly eyes
9 Pencil
10 Tissue paper/Newspaper

Step 1: Get a pair of plain white canvas shoes and remove shoe laces.

Step 2: Tuck in the shoes some tissue paper or newspaper to get rid of any waves or wrinkles while painting.

Step 3: Stick masking tape covering the lower edges of the shoes to protect the edges from paint while painting shoes.

Step 4: Basic colours we will use for Minion inspired shoes are Yellow and Blue. Paint the front portion of the shoe with blue colour.

Step 5: On self sticky paper make a circle with some round object for using it as a stencil for Minion goggles. Stick the circle on the outward side of both shoe like on the left side of the left shoe and on the right side of the right shoe.

Step 6: Paint yellow colour on the remaining portion of the shoe and when the colour is dried take out the goggles stencils from the shoe and you will get the perfect circle for goggles.

Step 7: Again make a circle on Self sticky paper but smaller then the circle used in step 5 and stick it inside the circle formed previously on the shoe for making goggles frame and colour the frame with light green colour.

Step 8: When the frame colour is dried remove the sticker and reveal the clean and nice frame.

Step 9: With black colour make strips for goggles.

Step 10: Add smiles to the below the eyes to make our Minion shoe happy happy.

Step 11: Stick googly in the centre of the frame to make it more lively.

Step 12: Remove masking tape from the edges of the shoes.

Step 13: Paint the laces light green or yellow or keep them as it is.

Step 14: Finally put the lace back into the shoe and you are ready to rock your Minions shoe.
